Description
The City of Lynchburg is seeking bids for the Municipal Paving Contract Spring 2026. The contract includes paving, milling, and other related work on various streets in the city. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
• The contract includes approximately 24,610 feet of paving work.
• The contractor will be required to provide a performance bond and a payment bond.
• The contract will be for a period of 85 calendar days.
• The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed.
• The contract includes a liquidated damages clause for failure to complete the work on time.
• The contractor will be required to provide a certified payroll and to pay all employees at least the prevailing wage rate.
• The contract includes a clause for changes to the work, including additions and deletions.
• The contractor will be required to provide a final payment application within 90 days after completion of the work.
