Description
The Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) is seeking a qualified design‑build contractor to construct a new ferry dock, gangway, and passenger shelter at the Plant Riverside site in Savannah, GA. The scope includes engineering design, permitting, and construction of a 15’ × 20’ concrete platform, a 6’ × 80’ aluminum ADA‑compliant gangway, a 20’ × 120’ floating concrete dock supported by piles, and a 14’ × 24’ shelter. The contract is expected to be a three‑year award with an estimated construction timeline of 18 months. Bidders must submit detailed technical proposals, cost breakdowns, DBE participation plans, and required bonds. Evaluation will be based on experience, project approach, cost, and DBE utilization.
