Description

The US Navy is seeking a contractor to repair inertial navigation equipment. The contract will require the contractor to perform repair work in accordance with the original manufacturer's specifications and drawings. The contractor must also provide a throughput constraint for each National Stock Number (NSN) and ensure that all repair work is completed within the specified Repair Turnaround Time (RTAT) of 120 days. The contractor will be required to perform all inspection and testing requirements as specified in the original manufacturer's specifications and drawings. Key points to consider: • The contractor must be an authorized repair source for the inertial navigation equipment. • The contractor must provide a firm-fixed price for the repair of the equipment. • The contractor must adhere to the IUID requirements of DFARS 252.211-7003. • The contractor must provide a quote that includes the repair unit price, total price, and RTAT. • The contractor must perform all inspection and testing requirements as specified in the original manufacturer's specifications and drawings.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this contract is likely to be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the fact that the contract is for the repair of inertial navigation equipment, which is a complex and specialized task that requires significant expertise and resources. The contractor will need to provide a firm-fixed price for the repair of the equipment, which will likely be in the tens of thousands of dollars. Additionally, the contractor will need to provide a throughput constraint for each NSN, which will also impact the overall budget. The Navy's budget for this type of contract is likely to be limited, which is why the estimate is on the lower side.
