Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, intends to award a sole source contract to CSX Transportation, Inc. for the review of preliminary engineering design plans, drawings, and other documents pertaining to the Johnson County project. The work includes office reviews, field reviews, attending meetings, and preparing correspondence, reports, and other documentation. The contract is expected to be awarded under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) due to CSX being the only entity that can complete this work.
• The contract period is from February 2026 to July 2027.
• The total value of the contract is approximately $35,000.
• CSX is the only provider of flagger services for their rail lines and has a legal responsibility to approve any work on or that may impact their property or rail lines.
• Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this notice, but the Government intends to negotiate solely with CSX Transportation, Inc.
