Notice to Bidders

The Town of Hempstead is seeking bids for the East Meadow Water District 1,4-Dioxane and Iron Treatment at Well 10 project. The project involves the treatment of 1,4-Dioxane and Iron at Well 10. Bidders must obtain a set of the Contract Documents and all Addenda, and submit a certified check or bid bond payable to the Town of Hempstead for not less than 5% of the estimated amount of the bid. The project may be funded entirely or in part from a Federal assistance agreement between EPA and the Town of Hempstead. • The project requires compliance with federal equal opportunity and labor standards. • The project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act, EPA’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program, Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, and American Iron and Steel (AIS) Act. • The Town of Hempstead reserves the right to reject any or all bids. • Bid documents may be viewed at the Office of the Commissioner of General Services.
