RE-ROOFING OF SABINE PASS COMMUNITY

The City of Port Arthur is seeking bids for the re-roofing of the Sabine Pass Community Center. The project includes removing the existing roof, providing a new composition shingle roof, and replacing fascia boards. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting the existing plywood roof decking, reattaching decking to the structure where required, and providing self-adhering secondary underlayment. The contractor will also be required to replace all existing gutters and downspouts and install new ones. • The project requires the removal of existing wooden fascia and replacement with new 1x fiber cement board. • The contractor must provide a new composition shingle roof with a primary underlayment. • The contractor will be responsible for building the gutter detail for approval by the architect prior to construction. • The project includes the replacement of all existing exhaust fan (EF) roof vents, hot stack (HS) roof vents, and vent thru roof (VTR) vents with new ones. • The contractor must extend the downspout drop per section "D" and provide a minimum of 2'' into the boot. • The contractor will be required to provide a precast concrete splash block and set it in a full bed of sealant.
