Bridge Replacement - Engineering RFP

The Polk County Board of Commissioners is seeking a qualified engineering firm to provide surveying, concept plans, preliminary plans, permitting, final plans, right of way plans, specifications, cost estimates, bid documents, and construction administration & inspection associated with a proposed bridge replacement project. The project involves replacing an existing bridge located on Government Farm Road in Polk County, Georgia, which is approximately 40 feet in length and has a single 13-foot wide travel lane with 8-inch concrete curbs and guardrails. The selected firm will be responsible for providing all necessary engineering services, including surveying, environmental investigations, permitting, and construction administration. The key aspects of the project include: • Replacing the existing bridge with a new structure that meets current design standards • Providing surveying, concept plans, preliminary plans, permitting, final plans, right of way plans, specifications, cost estimates, bid documents, and construction administration & inspection • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines • Coordinating with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals • Providing a detailed project schedule and budget • Ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget
