Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking bids for the renovation of two existing group living homes at the Oakwood residential care facility in Somerset, Kentucky. The scope of work includes architectural renovations, MEP renovations, and other related tasks. The project consists of renovating cottages 106 and 113, with approximately 9,000 and 7,100 square feet, respectively. The successful bidder will be required to perform the work in accordance with the plans and specifications provided.
• The project includes the complete demolition of most of the existing interior construction and the construction of a revised interior plan.
• The project includes the replacement of all existing windows with new aluminum window systems in each cottage.
• The project includes the installation of new mechanical systems and updated power, lighting, security, control, and IT devices.
• The project includes the provision of enlarged kitchens, new staff spaces, and accessible private resident bathrooms.
• The project includes the installation of vinyl sheet flooring, impact-resistant gypsum board walls, and abuse-resistant fixtures.
