2026 Lake Street Intersection Pedestrian Improvements

The Village of River Forest is seeking contractors to upgrade the Lake Street intersection to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility. The project includes multiple sidewalk and curb enhancements, ADA-compliant ramps, traffic control upgrades, and drainage improvements. The work will be performed on public right‑of‑way and must comply with local, state, and federal accessibility standards. • Install curb bump‑outs and new ADA curb ramps. • Add rectangular rapid flashing beacons, median refuge islands, and upgraded traffic control devices. • Perform drainage upgrades, curb and gutter work, and final site restoration. • Deliver full construction documents and bid proposals as required. • Project overseen by the Village Public Works Department with solicitation by Christopher B Burke Engineering Ltd.
