Glass Spheres (Beads)

The State of California, Department of General Services, Procurement Division (DGS-PD) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit bids from qualified firms to establish a Statewide Contract that provides Glass Spheres (Beads) to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The contract resulting from this solicitation will be mandatory for all State of California Departments and available for use by participating local agencies. • The term of the contract will be for three years with two one-year extension options. • The contract will require the provision of Glass Spheres (Beads) that meet or exceed the specifications outlined in Attachment 2 – State of California Bid Specification. • Bidders must submit a completed Attachment 1 – Pricing Worksheet, Attachment 3 – Narrative Response, and other required documents. • A 5 percent bid preference is available to Bidders certified as a small business in accordance with GC 14835 et seq. • The State reserves the right to verify, validate, and clarify all information contained in the bid.
