Landfill Gas Collection & Control System Expansion

Iredell County is seeking a contractor to expand the Landfill Gas Collection & Control System (GCCS) at the Iredell County Landfill. The project includes the purchase of materials and installation of 18 vertical gas extraction wells, extension of leachate cleanouts, and connection to a 12-inch High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) header via smaller diameter HDPE pipe. The work will be performed in six phases, with an additional 10 vertical landfill gas wells installed in Phase 5. The contractor will be required to work in and around existing operations in a safe manner. Key aspects of the project include: • Installation of gas extraction wells and transmission lines • Extension of leachate cleanouts • Connection to a 12-inch HDPE header • Abandonment and redrilling of nonproducing LFG wells • Installation of additions such as risers, valves, etc. to existing transmission lines, air and force mains The contractor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those related to safety, environmental protection, and equal employment opportunity.
