APG-79 RADAR Retrofit Phase V

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a modification to a Delivery Order under a Basic Ordering Agreement with Raytheon on a sole source basis. The scope of this effort includes repairing Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) identified as nonfunctioning and configuration upgrades for the APG-79 radar systems. Raytheon is the sole owner of the drawings required to repair APG-79 equipment and is deemed the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data to meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis and in a cost-effective manner. • The scope of work includes repairs and configuration upgrades for the APG-79 radar systems. • Raytheon is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and Depot for the APG-79 radar systems. • The Government has determined that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government. • Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact the Raytheon Company directly.
