Description

The National Park Service intends to award a single source justified cooperative agreement to the California Wildlife Foundation for the project titled "Enhancing natural resource stewardship and science outreach in southern California National Parks". The project aims to conserve, restore, and maintain habitats in the state of California, promote biological diversity, and support the management of natural resources in the Mediterranean Coast Network (MEDN) parks. The California Wildlife Foundation will collaborate with the National Park Service to monitor rocky intertidal habitats, monitor wildlife, provide support for database management, and assist with the development and execution of science outreach programs. Some key aspects of the project include: • Monitoring of rocky intertidal habitats and wildlife at Cabrillo National Monument, Santa Monica National Recreation Area, and Channel Islands National Park • Support for database management involving all MEDN monitoring programs • Assistance with the development and execution of science outreach programs to enhance the understanding of MEDN flora and fauna • Collaboration between the California Wildlife Foundation and the National Park Service to achieve the project goals and objectives
