Description
The Kansas Department of Transportation is seeking competitive bids for the purchase of a Trailer Mounted Automated Mixer/Pump. The unit shall be a current model, new and unused, under standard production by the manufacturer. All parts utilized on the unit shall be new and unused. The bidder agrees, if their proposal is accepted, to guarantee the design, material, and workmanship of the unit bid according to the standard factory warranty, or for one year, whichever is greater.
Some key features of the unit include:
• A double cylinder pump with 12” pumping tubes and 12” hydraulic pistons
• A pump hopper with a minimum volume of 5 cubic feet
• A mixer unit with a capacity of 10 cubic feet, minimum, driven by a 4 GPM hydraulic motor
• An additive hopper with a capacity of 14-80 lbs. bags of Portland cement
• A hand-held radio remote control On/Off switch
• Two engines, one 27 hp minimum gasoline fuel-injected engine to power the pump unit and one 23.5 hp minimum gasoline engine to power the mixer, conveyor, and cement hopper
• A trailer with two 12,000-pound axles and a 8’X20’ steel deck
• Clearance lights, rear identification lights, reflectors, and directional lights that comply with the Motor Vehicle Laws of the State of Kansas.
