Description
The City of Fresno is seeking a qualified contractor to provide high‑pressure water blasting services to remove aircraft tire rubber and paint from its airport runway and centerline surfaces. The work is to be performed under a two‑year base contract with the possibility of up to three one‑year extensions, for a total possible term of five years. The contractor must supply all labor, equipment, and waste‑handling services, meet specific technical parameters (≥ 200 °F water temperature, ≈ 5,000 psi pressure), and achieve defined waste‑recovery and recycling targets. Proposals must be submitted electronically via Planet Bids by the deadline, and a public bid opening will be held via Zoom.
• Scope includes blasting approximately 186,000 sq ft of runway surfaces plus 4,200 sq ft of approach end, each to be completed within one week of start.
• Contractor responsible for all waste disposal, must capture ≥ 90 % of recoverable waste and recycle ≥ 75 % of cleaning solution.
• No chemicals are permitted; water‑only high‑pressure cleaning required, with strict environmental compliance.
