Description
The California Highway Patrol is seeking a qualified contractor to provide weapons firing range use services for the Indio Area Office. The contractor will operate a range within 30 mi of the Indio office, supplying range facilities, safety oversight, brass recovery, and accommodating a defined shooting schedule for pistols, rifles, and shotguns. The contract runs for 21 months, with monthly invoicing and strict compliance with safety, environmental, and insurance requirements.
• Operate and maintain a firearms training range (pistols, rifles, shotguns) Monday‑Friday, 10:00‑17:00, meeting CHP’s usage schedule.
• Provide all range‑safety personnel, equipment, brass collection, and coordinate test‑firing with CHP officers.
• Maintain required licenses, insurance (minimum $1 M general liability, etc.), and retain records for three years.
