Notice of Intent for Forum on Medical and Public Health Preparedness for Disasters and Emergencies

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) intends to award a sole source contract to the National Academy of Sciences for the formation of a multi-agency, multi-organization Forum to address Medical and Public Health Preparedness for Disasters and Emergencies. The Forum will provide a venue for exchanging information, presenting individual views, and allowing structured dialogue and discussion on critical scientific and policy issues. The period of performance will be for one 12-month base period with four 12-month option years. • The contract will be a firm fixed price purchase order. • The Forum will consist of members from federal, state, local, academic, and industry entities. • The NAICS code for this requirement is 541690. • The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
