The project involves constructing a private office within the Senator's office space at the Bruce R. Thompson US Courthouse. The work includes building a new partition wall, installing a new door assembly, and providing a final keyed cylinder/core for the new door hardware. The contractor will be required to work during normal government working hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and will need to provide a core that will be keyed by others. The project does not include modifications, relocation, or extension of the existing fire suppression system, fire alarm system, or HVAC system.
• The new partition wall will be built to existing suspended ceiling and be braced as required.
• The new door assembly will not be required to meet any acoustical or sound rating requirements.
• The door stop can be either floor mounted or wall mounted, and does not need to be a particular finish.
• A door closer will be required, and the make and model will be provided.
• The contractor will be required to provide three project narratives for projects of similar size, scope, and complexity as that set forth in the Statement Work, that was completed within the past three years. At a minimum, one of the projects should include work at a courthouse or similar judicial space.
