Description
The General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service seeks expressions of interest from owners or authorized representatives of suitable office properties in Portland, Maine, to lease approximately 5,300 – 5,500 square feet of office space for a total term of 180 months (firm term 120 months). The lease must include 2,619 square feet of specialized secure space (vaults, communications room, secure storage, 24/7 HVAC for a server room) and 18 secured surface parking spaces dedicated to government vehicles. The space must be above the first floor, not the top floor (unless a single‑story building), have a loading dock and freight elevator, meet GSA fire‑safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards, and be outside the 1 % floodplain. Proximity restrictions require the building to be at least 1,000 feet from residential, educational, medical, religious, and similar sensitive sites, and it cannot be located within a shopping mall or share parking with the public. Compliance with Section 889 of the FY 19 NDAA telecommunications prohibitions is mandatory.
