The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a vendor to provide one Yokogawa CV8000 High-Throughput Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope. The microscope will be used to replace an obsolete Yokogawa CV7000 microscope in the High-Throughput Imaging Facility (HiTIF) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The HiTIF supports high-throughput imaging assays for NIH investigators, and the new microscope will be used for RNAi and CRISPR/Cas9 screens, chemical compound screens, deep imaging experiments, and high-throughput live cell imaging.
Key features of the required microscope include:
• Dual spinning disk scanning unit for fast, high-sensitivity confocal imaging
• At least two second-generation sCMOS cameras for simultaneous acquisition of large fields of view
• Autofocus laser for fast, automated focusing of 2D cellular samples
• Environmental chamber with temperature, CO2, and humidity control for long-term live cell imaging
• Automated stage and robotic arm for loading and unloading multiple plates
• Software with image-based autofocus capabilities and automated image registration and optical aberration correction
The vendor must provide a firm-fixed-price quote, including all necessary equipment, installation, and training. The quote must also include a minimum 12-month manufacturer's warranty and maintenance support services.
