The VA Columbus Ambulatory Care Center seeks a firm‑fixed‑price contractor to provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, and support services for Sakura Tissue‑Tek laboratory equipment. The contract includes a one‑year base period with four optional one‑year extensions, covering preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, OEM parts, software updates, and required reporting. The award will be made using a Lowest‑Price‑Technically‑Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation.
• Equipment covered: Sakura Tissue‑Tek VIP 6 AI processors, Film Coverslipper, and Prisma Plus.
• Services required: monthly preventive maintenance, 24‑hour emergency response, 72‑hour equipment restoration, full parts and labor coverage, and software/patch updates.
• Performance expectations: field‑service reports within 15 days, compliance with VA holiday schedule, and warranty guaranteeing no additional cost to the VA for workmanship issues.
