The Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops (TASC) program is designed to assist U.S. organizations by providing funding for projects that seek to remove, resolve, or mitigate existing or potential sanitary, phytosanitary, or technical barriers that prohibit or threaten the export of U.S. specialty crops. The program is open to U.S. private or government entities with a demonstrated role or interest in exporting U.S. agricultural specialty crops. Eligible applicants must have an active registration in the U.S. Government System for Award Management (SAM) before the application submission deadline.
• The TASC program will provide funding for up to 20 awards, with a maximum of $500,000 per award.
• The program is focused on removing, resolving, or mitigating existing or potential sanitary, phytosanitary, or technical barriers that prohibit or threaten the export of U.S. specialty crops.
• Eligible activities include projects that address existing or potential trade barriers, demonstrate how proposed activities will remove, resolve, or mitigate the identified barrier, and benefit an entire industry rather than a specific company or brand.
• Ineligible activities include those that are not generic, promote private business, supplement normal sales activities, or promote specific products or services.
• Cost share is required for all applicants except for Federal, state, or local government agencies, with a minimum of 10 percent of the requested funds.
