The U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a contractor to demolish and remove the Bonner House structure, located at 3664 Cortland Road, Davis, WV 26260. The purpose of this project is to eliminate safety hazards, support refuge management objectives, and prepare the site for future use. The scope of work includes the removal of asbestos-containing materials, demolition of the structure, and backfill and site restoration. The contractor will be required to follow West Virginia rules and regulations for asbestos removal. • The period of performance is 76 days after award. • The scope includes removal of footings, foundation, and basement. • Backfill and site restoration, including the establishment of grass, are required. • The contractor will be responsible for waste disposal and submitting waste disposal tickets. • Utilities have been disconnected from the home, and the septic tank can be abandoned in place. • The well must be abandoned. • A West Virginia asbestos licensed contractor is required to perform the asbestos abatement.
