MBE, WBE and SDVOB Contracting Opportunity

Project Overview L3Harris Technologies (L3Harris) has been contracted by the New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) to provide a new Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system supporting communications across the organization. The system will support NYSTA personnel who provide essential services along the Thruway, including snow removal, road repair, roadway maintenance and related work. The project includes 54 communications sites along the Thruway corridor from Buffalo, New York, to New York City, New York. Potential Subcontracting Opportunities Work that may be performed at project sites includes: · Pour concrete for new antenna towers, communications shelters and generators at selected sites. · Provide concrete testing services (New York certification required). · Install antennas; run and terminate coaxial cables; and perform sweep testing of installed antenna-tower lines. · Perform electrical work, including installing power conduits and grounding electrical components, transfer switches, electrical panels and site fences. How to Express Interest L3Harris has engaged civil construction subcontractors to build the radio system sites. These subcontractors may require qualified lower-tier subcontractors to perform portions of the work described above.
