Renewal Accreditation for ISO/IEC 17025: 2017

The Minnesota Department of Health is seeking proposals from an Accrediting Body to implement ISO 17025: 2017 requirements for accreditation as a testing laboratory in environmental chemistry. The successful responder will be required to conduct one onsite renewal assessment and one surveillance assessment, and prepare reports of observations, findings, and recommendations. The contract term is anticipated to be from January 2026 to January 2028, with the option to extend up to an additional three years. • The Accrediting Body must hold current recognition as a signatory to the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) for all standards identified in the scope of this RFP. • The Environmental Laboratory will require one onsite renewal assessment and one surveillance assessment for accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 covering the target analytes and methods in Attachment E. • The Accrediting Body will prepare reports of observations, findings, and recommendations from these assessments supported by references to actual documents, including, but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reference methods, and ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 standards, within 14 calendar days of the conclusion of the onsite visit.
