Safe Street for All (SS4A) Improvement Project

The City of Milpitas is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide professional planning, design, and optional construction support services for the Safe Streets and Routes for All Improvements Project. The project aims to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety along school routes citywide and update the City's Safe Routes to School Program. The selected firm will be responsible for updating the City's 2011 SRTS Program, providing design services for pedestrian and bicycle safety enhancements, and potentially providing bidding and construction support services. The project has a total budget of $3,625,000 and is federally funded. • The project consists of two components: Task 1 - Supplemental Planning and Demonstration, and Task 2 - Implementation. • The selected firm will be required to perform its services in a prompt and timely manner and commence performance upon the effective date of the agreement. • The City reserves the right to select more than one Proposer under this RFP. • The successful Proposer will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and accompany endorsements proving coverage as specified in the Agreement.
