The Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is seeking information from potential contractors for a small business set-aside program to repair sewage treatment equipment. The project involves procuring, installing, and commissioning a new headworks combined rag and grit removal system for the Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility. The system should be able to screen to 2mm without blinding and include all required valves, piping, and appurtenances to tie into the existing system. The contractor should provide a capabilities package that demonstrates their ability to meet the stated requirements, including examples of commercial sales and product specifications. Some key points to consider include: • The new system will replace the existing "JWC Muffin Monster" rag removal and “Pista-Grit” grit removal systems. • The system should be a single, integrated unit that performs both rag removal and grit classification functions. • The available power for the system includes a 15-amp breaker, 3 phase, 20 gage wire for the rag removal panel and a 15-amp breaker, 3 phase, 20 gage wire for the grit removal panel. • The area available to fit the equipment is 6’4” W x 23’ L. • The contractor should provide a pricing schedule that can be utilized in a potential solicitation for the requirement.
