The required chemicals include Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, Liquid Orthophosphate, Aluminum Sulfate, Liquid CO2, and Liquid Cationic Polymer. The successful bidder will be responsible for delivering these chemicals to the City's Water Filter Plant and providing sludge removal services. Budget estimate

$80,000 – $120,000

The estimated budget for this opportunity can be based on the quantity of chemicals and sludge removal services required. The City of Peekskill estimates that approximately 800,000 gallons of sludge solids will need to be removed, and the required chemicals include Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, Liquid Orthophosphate, Aluminum Sulfate, Liquid CO2, and Liquid Cationic Polymer. Assuming an average cost of $0.05 per gallon for the chemicals and $0.10 per gallon for the sludge removal services, the total estimated budget would be: 800,000 gallons x $0.10 per gallon = $80,000 for sludge removal services Approximate cost of chemicals: - Sodium Hydroxide: 38,000 gallons x $0.05 per gallon = $1,900 - Sodium Hypochlorite: 40,000 gallons x $0.05 per gallon = $2,000 - Liquid Orthophosphate: 3,000 gallons x $0.05 per gallon = $150 - Aluminum Sulfate: 80,000 gallons x $0.05 per gallon = $4,000 - Liquid CO2: 150,000 pounds x $0.05 per pound = $7,500 - Liquid Cationic Polymer: 500 gallons x $0.05 per gallon = $25 Total estimated cost of chemicals: $15,575 Total estimated budget: $80,000 (sludge removal services) + $15,575 (chemicals) = $95,575 The low end of the estimate could be $80,000, and the high end could be $120,000, considering the varying costs of chemicals and sludge removal services.
