Description

The City of Hayward is seeking a contractor to perform vegetation management services, including weed and rubbish abatement, ladder fuel removal, and creating defensible space. The contractor will work on various parcels of land, with the goal of protecting structures and properties from the threat of wildfires. Some key points to consider are: • The contractor must be able to perform vegetation management services, including weed and rubbish abatement, ladder fuel removal, and creating defensible space. • The contractor must have experience working on similar projects, particularly in Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, or San Mateo Counties. • The contractor must be able to provide a detailed plan for providing the services as described in the scope of work. • The contractor must be able to perform the services within the timelines requested by city staff for emergency and non-emergency abatements. • The contractor must maintain records of work performed and all related correspondence received from City staff and provide invoices for services rendered within 48 hours of project completion.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the scope of work and the requirements for the contractor, it is likely that the budget will be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. The factors that may influence the likely payment range include the size of the parcels of land, the complexity of the work, and the experience and qualifications of the contractor. Given that the contractor must be able to perform large-scale weed abatement on steep terrain, it is likely that the budget will be on the higher end of this range.
