ITB 2026-002 Downtown Streetscape Improvement Project-Main Street: White Oak Alley to Market Street

The City of Salem is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of a downtown streetscape improvement project on Main Street, extending from White Oak Alley to Market Street. The scope includes upgrading sidewalks, utility upgrades, street lighting, landscaping, and other public realm enhancements to revitalize the corridor. Contractors will be responsible for site preparation, demolition, utility relocation, curb and gutter work, pavement reconstruction, and installation of new street furniture and lighting fixtures. The project is expected to be completed within a defined construction schedule, adhering to local codes and design standards. • Upgrade and replace sidewalks, curb ramps, and crosswalks along Main Street. • Perform utility relocations and install new underground infrastructure (water, storm, electrical). • Install modern street lighting, signage, and ornamental street furniture. • Implement landscaping, tree planting, and streetscape beautification elements. • Provide traffic management and site safety plans throughout construction.
