Description
The City of Laconia is seeking bids for screened sand for winter road maintenance. The sand must meet specific requirements, including a particle size of 3/8-inch minus with 0% to 6% passing a No. 200 sieve. The total anticipated quantity to be delivered is 1,000 to 2,000 tons, with a minimum guarantee of 1,000 tons. The bid price must remain fixed until April 15, 2027. Interested firms should submit two copies of their bids, which must be delivered to the City of Laconia Purchasing Office by 2:30 PM on August 28, 2026.
• The City of Laconia reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids or any part thereof.
• The City may inspect the pit before award to verify that representative sand will meet the City's requirements.
• The low bidder may be asked to provide a sieve analysis/gradation report representative of the sand being offered.
• Deliveries with excessive frozen material may be refused.
