Detroit Police Department Bomb Disposal Unit - Remount and Refurbishment

The City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement is seeking a vendor to provide remount and refurbishment services for the Detroit Police Department Bomb Disposal Vehicle. The scope of work includes delivering a remounted vehicle and new chassis with the highest level of quality and engineering excellence. The vehicle must meet specific requirements, including a new Freightliner Low-profile M2 Chassis, a remounted module, and various additional options and features. Some key requirements and features include: • A new Reyco Granning rear air suspension for heavy trucks • A new OSHA-compliant backup alarm with a cancel switch for silent backing • New emergency lighting with clear lenses • A new Norcold refrigerator • New interior cabinets, walls, ceiling, and countertops • Installation of automatic high throttle and a new electrical system • A new insulated AC hoses, fittings, electric water valves, clamps, and solenoids The bidder must provide a detailed specification of the chassis they are providing and comply with the written specifications and schedules supplied.
