BJA FY25 National Center on Restorative Justice

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking applications for the National Center on Restorative Justice. The Center will provide education, training, and knowledge on restorative justice approaches and principles, and their application to criminal justice and community safety. The Center will target a variety of justice and legal professionals, including law enforcement agencies, correctional institutions, prosecutors, and court personnel. The goal is to improve public safety by strengthening traditional law enforcement, reinforcing personal responsibility among offenders, and providing meaningful restoration to victims. Key aspects of the job include: • Educating and training justice and legal professionals on restorative justice approaches • Building knowledge on restorative justice principles and their application to criminal justice and community safety • Providing targeted education and training to law enforcement agencies, correctional institutions, prosecutors, and court personnel • Improving public safety through accountability-focused restorative justice approaches • Strengthening traditional law enforcement and reinforcing personal responsibility among offenders • Providing meaningful restoration to victims
