DNR New Nicollet Court Facility Prof Design

The Department of Natural Resources is seeking a qualified architectural/engineering firm to provide professional design services for the new Nicollet Court building at Itasca State Park. The project includes phased services, with Phase 1 consisting of schematic design, design development, and construction documents, and Phase 2 consisting of bidding and construction administration. The selected firm will be responsible for designing a historically compatible four-season building with basement, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. • The project requires experience with SHPO review and implementation of sustainable design practices. • The selected firm will need to coordinate with DNR project managers, other design team members, and regulatory bodies. • The project involves demolition of the existing building, new building design, and site design. • The firm will need to ensure compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation and the State of Minnesota's B3/SB2030 small building standards.
