Modoc County Road Department - Aggregate Screenings (Chips) 2026

The Modoc County Road Department is seeking bids for furnishing Aggregate Screenings (Chips) for the Newell District Shop. The Vendor is responsible for coordination with the Superintendent for the material delivery(s), which shall not proceed until after notice has been made by the County. The delivery(s) shall be made between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:30 pm, with delivery not before July 20th and not after July 30th, 2026. The material shall conform to the Modoc County requirements and the applicable provisions of the 2015 Standard Specifications, State of California, Department of Transportation; Section 37. The bid prices shall include all charges, including freight charges, but exclude taxes. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid received. • The Vendor shall provide the County with material density data for the crushed rock used for each bid. • The Vendor shall provide one initial test to show compliance with the Specifications, Screening Grading Requirements, and Screenings Quality Requirements for each bid. • The material shall be delivered "dry" with some moisture content expected, but not exceeding 3% of the material by weight. • The material shall meet the SCREENINGS GRADING REQUIREMENTS and SCREENINGS QUALITY REQUIREMENTS as specified in the bid document.
