Vacuum Compatible stages

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a contractor to provide vacuum-compatible stages for the NG6 Upgrade. The stages must be precision motorized and meet specific technical requirements, including being rated to work at pressures of 1x10-6 Torr or lower and having a full step resolution of 0.01 degrees or less. The contractor must provide two identical sets of stages, each consisting of a rotation stage and a tilt stage, as well as vacuum-compatible cables and non-vacuum cables. The delivery of the items is due within 4 months, and the contractor must warranty the entire system for a period of at least 1 year after receipt of the equipment. • The stages must be made of an aluminum alloy or a material with comparable or less neutron activation to aluminum. • The load capacity of the rotation stage must be greater than the weight of the accompanying tilt stage plus an additional 2 kg. • The range of motion of the rotation stage must be equal to or greater than 200 degrees. • The range of motion of the tilt stage must be 7.5 degrees or greater. • The working distance of the tilt stage must be 65 mm or greater. • The total height of the rotation and tilt stage assembly must be 10 inches or less.
