CC Dam Valve House – Accumulator Hydraulic Upgrades

The Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking proposals for the upgrade of the accumulator hydraulic system at the CC Dam Valve House. The project includes the replacement of actuators for 36” pivot valves and 60” gate valves, as well as the design, fabrication, and provision of necessary mounting adapters. The successful vendor will be required to provide a 5-year warranty for all components provided. The project location is 6613 Ashby Lane, Trinidad, TX 75163. • The current accumulator hydraulic system is original to the construction of the reservoir (mid 1960’s) and is no longer dependable. • The hydraulic system operates the 60” gate and 36” pivot valves located on the downstream end of the 60” pipe in the low flow outlet below the dam. • The valves need to be exercised monthly as well as (2) hours prior to each time the City of Trinidad opens their 12” valve to transport water to their city lake. • The vendor must measure existing valve mounting plates and design, fabricate, and provide any necessary mounting adapters. • The accumulator must fit where the existing accumulator is. • The cylinders must fit within the headspace. • Connections between the accumulator and the cylinder shall utilize flex hosing and minimize rigid pipe.
