Description
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is conducting market research and seeking innovative concepts and capability statements from industry to inform the modernization of tactical Command and Control (C2) networks. The focus is on addressing the capability gaps of legacy Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN) and Satellite Deployable Node (SDN) systems. The "King for a Day" Challenge asks industry partners to propose a holistic, capability-driven C2 solution that prioritizes survivability, agility, low probability of intercept/detection, and user simplicity for Large Scale Combat Operations. Key required capabilities include a modular "warehouse" architecture, transport agnosticism, tactical edge compute, and signature management. Responses should provide a white paper detailing how the responder would solve these problems, addressing specific prompts related to architecture, automated orchestration, high-throughput security, transport, edge compute, and signature management.
* The solution should be a modular, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based architecture.
* It should prioritize survivability, agility, and low probability of intercept/detection.
* The solution must include transport agnosticism and automated SD-WAN.
* Tactical edge compute and organic Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) are required.
* Signature management and electromagnetic signature minimization are necessary.
* The solution should be able to operate effectively in Disconnected, Disrupted, Intermittent, and Limited (DDIL) environments.
