Description
The 31 Contracting Squadron (CONS) is issuing a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source contract to APEX Projects for the conversion of an existing electronic, automated rolling storage system to a manually actuated system. The existing system was installed in 2022 and remains under a 10-year manufacturer's warranty. APEX Projects is the sole authorized distributor and servicer for the Space Saver brand rolling storage system in Europe. The required effort includes the removal of the existing electronic actuation components and the installation of compatible manual actuation hardware on the in-place storage structure.
• The existing system is under a 10-year manufacturer's warranty, and any work performed by a source other than the authorized Space Saver distributor would void the remaining warranty coverage.
• APEX Projects has the capability to convert the system to a manual configuration and maintains all required additional parts in stock.
• The Government intends to award the contract to APEX Projects to preserve the substantial value of the existing warranty and ensure that the Government does not assume avoidable financial liability for repairs or component failures.
• The estimated contract cost is $46,079.96.
