HCWP 2025 GRIT PIT CLEANING

The City of Columbus, Division of Water, is seeking a contractor to provide grit pit, channel, and vault cleaning services at the Hap Cremean Water Plant. The contractor will be responsible for vacuum removal of deposits of sand and lime tailings from the plant's 22' x 60' x 12' grit pit, various channels, and vaults. The estimated volume of material to be removed is approximately 650-750 cubic yards. The contractor must provide all equipment, labor, supervision, and other materials needed to perform the service. The price should be quoted per cubic yard. • The contractor will be responsible for transporting and disposing of the removed material on-site. • The contractor must provide all personal protective equipment and ensure worker safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. • A plant safety briefing will be required for all contractor personnel before starting work. • The work will be scheduled within one week of notification to the contractor and will be permitted between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
