FOR THE PROVISION OF AUDITING SERVICES

The Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties is seeking qualified firms to provide comprehensive auditing services for its sewage‑treatment and wastewater operations. The engagement will cover annual financial audits, review of budgets, debt statements, grant audits, and ad‑hoc financial or tax inquiries, all performed in accordance with U.S. GAAS and applicable state and federal audit standards. Firms must submit a detailed Qualification Statement by the October 20, 2026 deadline and will be evaluated on experience, reputation, and ability to meet statutory deadlines. • Perform annual audit of the Joint Meeting’s departments and agencies per N.J.S.A. 40A:5‑4. • Review annual budget, financial and debt statements before filing/adoption. • Conduct audits of required plans, grants, and related projects. • Respond to financial and tax inquiries on an as‑needed basis. • Provide any additional accounting/auditing services the Joint Meeting may request. • Submit cost proposal with hourly rates and demonstrate relevant licenses and certifications. • Must meet professional, administrative, and financial qualification criteria outlined in the RFP.
