Refurbish/Repaint Antenna Towers

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to refurbish and repaint three 75-foot tall antenna towers at the BDR (Shelton, CT) RCAG (Remote Communications Air/Ground) communications site. The project includes surface preparation, spot prime coat, full coat, and full finish coat of the towers, as well as removal of rust and application of a new silane concrete sealer to the existing exposed concrete foundation surfaces. The contractor must also provide a project-specific Health and Safety Plan and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements. The project must be completed within 90 calendar days of the contractor's notice to proceed. • The contractor must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in successfully completing similar scopes of work. • The contractor must provide line-item pricing for the base bid proposal, including the cost of coating the 200-foot hot dip galvanized steel lattice tower. • The contractor must ensure that all work is completed in a neat, workmanlike manner by skilled workers regularly engaged in their respective trade. • The contractor must provide a warranty for all materials, equipment, and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of acceptance by the COR.
