Description
The Kent Intermediate School District is seeking bids for the Pine Grove Paving project, which involves the removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavement, underdrains, concrete sidewalks, fencing, erosion control, and restoration. The project is expected to start on May 30, 2026, and be completed by October 2, 2026. The bid includes various items such as traffic control, milling, proofrolling, and concrete walk construction. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with state codes and regulations.
• The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: removal/milling of 13,000 SY of existing asphalt pavement and replacement with 13,000 SY new asphalt pavement, underdrains, concrete sidewalks, fencing, erosion control, restoration, and appurtenant work.
• The contractor will be responsible for coordinating construction with the staff of the Kent Intermediate School District and other construction projects on campus.
• The project will be substantially completed by August 7, 2026, and final completion shall be by October 2, 2026.
• The contractor will be required to provide a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Kent Intermediate School District in an amount equal to 5% of the total price.
• The contractor will be responsible for any damage to a building or other property caused by their workers, equipment, or vehicles while performing the work.
