H.R. Spies Overhaul

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to overhaul the survey vessel H.R. SPIES. The work consists of furnishing all engineering, design, labor, services, equipment, parts, and materials and performing all work on the vessel as specified. The vessel is constructed of aluminum and has a length of 68 feet - 6 inches, a beam of 25 feet - 10 inches, and a draft of 4 feet - 8 inches. The contractor will be required to haul the vessel out of the water and place it on blocks to facilitate a joint docking inspection and determine whether optional work items should be executed. The period of performance will be a maximum of 49 calendar days from the date of award to contract completion if all options are exercised. • The contractor must provide and set blocks to support and distribute the weight of the vessel while out of water and to prevent movement of the vessel. • The contractor must facilitate a joint docking inspection to determine whether optional work items should be executed. • The contractor must enter into a "Mastership Agreement for Repair and Alteration of Vessels" prior to the award of the contract. • The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award.
