Description
The West Virginia Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for the one-time purchase of 1,500 IG crossties to be delivered to Durbin, WV, and 570 IG crossties to be delivered to Moorefield, WV. The crossties must meet specific requirements, including being 7" x 9" x 8'6" in size, 100% end-plated, and made of mixed hardwoods and oak, creosote pressure-treated to 7# retention or refusal. The successful vendor will be required to deliver the crossties within 90 calendar days of receiving a purchase order or notice to proceed.
• The crossties must have a minimum six-inch face on the top or bottom.
• The rail-bearing areas must have a minimum six-inch face.
• The crossties must have no more than 5" of wane on each surface outside of the rail-bearing areas.
• The crossties must be straight and parallel.
• The vendor must contact the agency within three days of delivery to schedule a delivery date and time.
