Howard A. Hanson Dam Green River Smolt Trap

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is seeking interested sources for the operation of a smolt trap on the Green River in King County, Washington. The purpose of the trap is to monitor, evaluate, and report on the biological outcomes of revised flow management operations at the Howard A. Hanson Dam. The contract will be a firm fixed price award and will include tasks such as trap operation, sample catch, trap calibration, and data input. The period of performance will be dependent on the timing of salmon outmigration and flows, but is expected to occur between February and July. The contract will consist of a base year and four option years. * The trap will operate 24/7 as river flow and debris levels permit * The contractor will be responsible for collecting and reporting data on the catch, including species, age, and origin * The contractor will also be responsible for calibrating the trap and estimating trapping efficiency * The contractor will provide in-season reporting and summarization of the data * The contract will be awarded based on the responses to this Sources Sought announcement and the capability of the contractor to perform the required tasks.
