Hempling Park Access Road and Parking

The project involves the construction of a new asphalt access road designed to connect the existing parking lot at Giles-Conrad Park to a new parking lot at Hempfling Park. The roadway will enhance accessibility between the two recreational areas, improving traffic flow and visitor convenience. A key component of the project includes the installation of a culvert crossing over a creek, ensuring proper drainage and environmental protection while maintaining structural integrity for vehicular traffic. • The project requires the installation of an access road and culvert piping to cross a creek, including all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project. • The bidder must provide verification of insurance coverage in accordance with the parameters specified in the invitation to bid. • The bidder must maintain the insurance coverage required by the County while this contract is in force, including automatic renewal terms. • The project schedule should demonstrate substantial completion no later than 270 days from notice to proceed and final completion date no later than 300 days from notice to proceed. • The bidder must upload a proposed project schedule with the bid. • The bidder must provide a bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid. • The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
