The contract will be for a period of four years, and the state may use the services directly or leverage them through grant or other broadband-related programs.
• Broadband planning services will include feasibility assessments, technical planning, and strategic planning.
• Grant writing services will include developing proposals for federal and other broadband infrastructure grant and/or loan funding opportunities.
• Infrastructure solutions will include fiber optics/cable solutions and wireless solutions.
• The contractors will be required to provide access to a broadband network, ensure network meets industry reliability standards, use existing infrastructure when appropriate for cost-savings, and apply for federal broadband infrastructure grant and/or loan funding opportunities.
• The contractors will be required to meet all applicable federal and state requirements for any portion of the project funded by federal or state sources.
