Description
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) - Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (HQ SACT) is seeking a certified technical accountant to provide on-site expert financial accounting services. The selected contractor will support the development, implementation, and compliance with policies, directives, and international accounting standards. They will also contribute to the development and delivery of training on accounting and IPSAS-related standards across ACT entities. The contractor will provide hands-on support and continual improvement of daily accounting operations and systems.
• Support development, implementation, and compliance with policies, directives, and international accounting standards.
• Contribute to ACT-wide IPSAS accounting policy/directives and participate in ACT IPSAS implementation activities.
• Draft/update accounting-related guidance, briefing notes, and reports.
• Provide hands-on support and continual improvement of daily accounting operations and systems.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of general ledger activities, cash management, financial statements inputs, and bank reconciliations.
• Conduct/coordinate monthly and quarterly reconciliations, closure activities, and supporting documentation.
