GARNET ABRASIVE

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking bids for the supply of garnet abrasive. The contract involves the delivery of garnet abrasive in bulk bags, with the added requirement of beneficial reuse/recycling of used garnet abrasive. The contractor will be responsible for removing used garnet abrasive, re-bagging and palletizing it, and providing it to the DLA for TCLP analysis and storage. The contractor will also be required to weigh the truck upon entry and exit to provide a record of the total amount of garnet abrasive removed. • The contract requires the supply of garnet abrasive in 4400 bulk bags (GX3BB-2) with a specific manufacturer (GMA Americas) and part number (GX34400). • The contractor must include the cost of removal of used garnet abrasive in their pricing. • The contractor will be responsible for loading the palletized bags onto their truck. • The DLA will provide services to load the palletized bags onto the vendor's truck.
